What’s Happening?

The Saline County Food Action Community Team (FACT) is hosting two upcoming community listening sessions — and you’re invited to help shape Saline County’s very first comprehensive Food System Assessment.

Over the past several months, we’ve collected input through community surveys and stakeholder interviews. Now we’re turning to YOU — residents, families, farmers, educators, and advocates — to share your experiences, stories, and solutions.

Choose a Session That Works for You:

Morning Session

  • August 20, 2025, 1:30-3:00pm, Salina Public Library Prescott Room, 301 W. Elm

Evening Session

  • August 20, 2025, 6:30-8:00pm, Church of the Cross, 1600 Rush Street

Why Your Input Matters

We’re working to better understand:

  • Where and how people get their food
  • Barriers to accessing healthy and affordable food
  • Community strengths and local resources
  • Ideas for solutions that fit Saline County

Your insights will directly shape the final food system assessment — and guide future actions to improve food access, equity, and resilience in our community.

Everyone! Especially:

  • Parents and caregivers
  • Food pantry clients and volunteers
  • Shool staff and healthcare workers
  • Local farmers and food producers
  • Grocers, cooks, and food service workers
